Questions people ask

What should I do while I wait for a plumber?

Turn the water off at the main stopcock, usually near the water meter at the front of the property. If the leak is on the hot-water side or near the geyser, switch the geyser off at the distribution board too.

Should I repair my geyser or replace it?

It depends on its age and what has failed. A thermostat or element is usually worth repairing; a geyser leaking from the tank itself usually is not. We tell you which, and what each option costs, before you decide.

Do you fix gas geysers?

Yes. Gas is where Fix Pro started: it grew out of Premier Gas. Gas geyser repairs start from R2 800 on our price list.

Will I know the price before you start?

Yes. The prices on this page are starting points. Once we know the details, we confirm the price with you, and nothing starts until you have agreed it.
