Questions people ask

My power keeps tripping. What should I do?

Check the DB board to see which switch has tripped. If it is the earth leakage, switch every circuit breaker off, reset it, then turn the breakers back on one at a time: the one that trips it again is the faulty circuit, so leave that one off and call us.

Do I need an electrical CoC to sell my house?

Yes. The seller has to provide a valid electrical Certificate of Compliance before the property transfers. Electrical CoCs start from R2 200 on our price list, and if the inspection finds faults, that work is quoted before it starts.

Inverter, battery backup or generator: which do I need?

It depends on what you want to keep running and for how long. An inverter with batteries quietly runs lights, Wi-Fi, the TV and the fridge, while a generator handles heavier loads but needs a changeover switch so it connects safely. We tell you what each option costs before you decide.

Does my DB board need upgrading?

Usually, if it still has screw-in fuses, has no earth leakage unit, or has no space for new circuits. DB board repairs start from R2 800 and upgrades from R3 800.
