While you wait

  • Water

    Close the main stopcock, usually near the water meter at the front of the property. If the leak is near the geyser, switch the geyser off at the DB board too.

  • Electrical

    Switch off the main switch on the DB board. If a breaker keeps tripping, leave it off. Do not touch anything that is sparking, hot or wet.

  • Gas

    Close the valve on the cylinder, open doors and windows, and do not use light switches, plugs or flames. If the smell is strong, get everyone outside first.

  • Security

    If a gate, door or lock has failed, tell us what is open and what you can still lock. We can often make it secure first and repair it properly after.
